Law enforcement says a 66-year-old grandma tried to be Fentanyl she intended to use to murder a man who lived in her Wellston, Ohio home.
Jackson County Deputies got a tip back on September 11 that Kathy L Rainer asked someone to buy Fentanyl for her to use in a murder plot. After an investigation, officers filed criminal charges against the woman.

The Jackson County Prosecutor quickly decided it was enough to move forward with, and officers arrested the woman for conspiracy to commit murder and booked her into the Jackson County Jail. Rainer was then transferred to the Scioto County Jail to await trial.
According to a 2019 obituary for her son, Colt, Ms. Rainer is a mother of two and grandmother of four.
