Patricia June Bettis, 74, of West Portsmouth, died Thursday, March 13, 2025, in the Southern Ohio Medical Center emergency room. Born on June 17, 1950 in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Sanford and Lora Griffith Collins and was an emergency room nurse’s aide at SOMC for 38 years.
Patty was a graduate of Minford High School and enjoyed crafts, especially making wreaths, and tending to her outdoor flowers. However, her most enjoyment was spending time with her family.
Also preceding her in death were her daughters, Kimberly Lynn Bettis and Cathy Jo Bettis, who died in infancy, and her siblings, Richard, Robert and Sam Collins and Dorothy Perez, Edith Conrad, Norma Jean Naylor and Mary Moomaw.
Surviving are her companion of over thirty years, Larry Preston, two granddaughters, Taysha Damron and Jordan Goshay, and great-grandchildren, Ki-Rese Woodrow, Raeleigh Kleinman, Easten Frazee and Letty Frazee, and a sister, Faye Lambert.
A service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 18th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville.
A visitation will be at Brant’s from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
