Thomas Burris Meadows, 73, of South Shore, KY., passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH. He was born in Vanceburg, KY., February 10, 1952, a son of the late William Lee Meadows and Mina Louise Johnson Meadows Beair.
Thomas graduated from McKell High School in 1970, is a United States Air Force veteran, and is a retired welder from CSX Railroad.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one grandson, Elijah Artrip; one sister, Phyllis West; and one brother, David Beair.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Sherry Howard Meadows; one son, David Frazier of Montevallo, AL; three daughters, Erica Artrip of Ashland, KY., Amanda Meadows of Huntington, WV., and Ashley Meadows of Ashland, KY; two brothers, Roger (Sue) Meadows and Jim (Diana) Beair; four sisters, Olive Meadows, Donna Beair, Debbie Raines, and Patty Sowards; thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren with one on the way, along with several other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be 12 P.M. Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with pastor Jimbob Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 A.M. until the funeral hour.
