A West Portsmouth woman got the shock of her life at 1 a.m. when a blood-covered stranger suddenly knocked on her door, leaving her terrified and unsure what she was about to find on the other side.
🚨 Deputies Arrive to a Grisly Sight
When Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived, they found not a violent intruder — but a confused teenage girl, bleeding and suffering from a leg injury.
It was unclear how she’d been hurt or why she wandered onto the property.
Officers immediately called for:
- 🚑 An ambulance
- 🐕 The dog warden, due to the presence of a dog
- 📞 The teen’s mother, who was notified about her condition
🚑 Officers Follow Teen to the Hospital
Paramedics transported the injured teen to the hospital, with deputies following the squad to make sure the family was updated and the situation stayed under control.
If a bloody or confused stranger ever shows up on your porch:
✔️ Call 911 immediately
✔️ Do NOT open the door
✔️ Talk through the door if needed
✔️ Keep lights on so responders can find you
