Assault at the Royal Inn – Rehab Romance Turns Violent
Officers responded to a report of a domestic assault at the Royal Inn – and according to the police log, it was all over deodorant.
A pair of out-of-towners, who met in rehab, were staying in a room at the motel when the male half of the couple “flipped out” and asked the woman where his deodorant was. When she said she’d already given it to him, he slapped her across the face and threw her down on the bed.
Officers noted a bruise on her forearm from several days previous where the man allegedly threw her down to the floor and choked her out. There were also bruises on her back.
Police responded to the Royal Inn and took the man into custody for domestic violence.
Officers say the pair met in rehab and began dating earlier in the summer. They’d been staying at the hotel for several weeks.
