Berneda Fay Wolfe, 88, of Wheelersburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 28, 2026, at Concord Health & Rehab. She was born on January 31, 1938, in Greenup, KY, to the late Harlan E. and Carmon Warnock Terry, Sr.
Berneda was a member of Ohio Valley United Baptist Church and the Eastern Star Lodge of Lucasville, formerly of Wheelersburg. She worked at the former Clark’s Department Store in Portsmouth, graduated from Green High School in 1956, and graduated from the former Portsmouth Interstate Business College in 1958.
A proud Kentucky Colonel, Berneda formerly served as executive board vice president of the United Food & Commercial Workers Union. She loved quilting and created many beautiful quilts over the years. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, knitting, and embroidery.
Berneda married Roger Lee Wolfe on January 17, 1958, in Wheelersburg, and they shared 48 years together before his passing on December 11, 2006.
Surviving are two sons, Brian Jay (Sheila) Wolfe of Wheelersburg, and Chad (Rebecca) Terry Wolfe of Jackson; a daughter, Sheryl (Eric) Riehl of Johnstown, OH; a sister, Martena Ann Lauro of Portsmouth; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Berneda was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Brown; siblings Harlan E. “Sonny” Terry, Jr. and Sharon Lee McCoy; and her beloved dog, Lulu.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Dennis Dawes, minister, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
