Cecil Floyd Justice, 78, of South Shore, KY, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, at South Shore Nursing & Rehab. He was born in Greenup, KY, on September 20, 1947, a son of the late Cecil and Fern Alexander Justice
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Bailey and Thurman Bailey; two sisters, Helen Wells and Mavis Brown.
In his younger years, he enjoyed the excitement of racecar driving and was known as “Flying Floyd Justice,” and was an avid fisherman, finding joy both on the racetrack and on the water. Above all, his family meant everything to him. He cherished every moment spent with those he loved, and they were the greatest source of pride and joy in his life.
Left behind to cherish his memory are one son, Timothy (Catherine) Justice of West Portsmouth, OH; one daughter, Heather Hommes of Portsmouth, OH; one sister-in-law, Ivory Bailey; seven grandchildren, Zachary Justice, Kelsi Justice, Tyler Brant, Cody Brant, Candace Taylor, Risa Lewis, and Odessa Lewis; along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews that will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY, with Kenny Potter officiating. Burial will follow at MT Zion Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
