Just before 11 am on Christmas Day, a caller contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report an assault in a home on Lucasville-Minford Road.
The caller said a man dressed in camo showed up at the residence with a weapon and had assaulted a man and stabbed a woman in the hand.
The suspect then fled the area on foot. Deputies and a rescue squad responded to the scene. A deputy advised dispatch that the man had left the weapon behind at the home.
2 Christmas Day Custody Fight
A custody fight made for an unpleasant Christmas evening for a Lucasville child. Just after 6:30 pm, deputies responded to a report of a woman sitting in a car in a Lucasville driveway. The caller said the woman was honking the car horn and screaming.
When officers spoke to the woman, she said she’d dropped her child off with its father for a few hours of visitation, and he was not refusing to return the child even though it was her visitation day.
Officers spoke with the father, who showed them court papers that said he was to have the child from Noon Christmas through New Year’s Day.
The mother left the property without incident.
