Police dealt with the discoveries of 2 bodies in different parts of town. One death seemed like it needed to be investigated further, and the Scioto County Coroner transported the deceased for a forensic medical examination.
DOA on Williams Street
Around 10:30 am, medics responded to Williams Street for a report of a person not breathing.
When EMS arrived on the scene, they declared the man deceased. Portsmouth Police officers contacted detectives.
Officers took information for a report, and the coroner released the deceased to a local funeral home.
Coroner Investigates Summit Street Death
Just after 4 pm, EMS and officers responded to Summit Street for a report of an unresponsive man.
When medics arrived at the home, they confirmed that the man was indeed deceased. Police contacted the Scioto County Coroner’s Office, which decided that further investigation was needed.
The Coroner’s Office sent a transport to collect the deceased, and officers took information for a report.
