Dad of Bullied Child May Be Banned From School
The father of a child he claims is being bullied came into conflict with police and school officials on Friday morning.
School personnel at Sciotoville East Academy complained to police that the man had been recording the children when he dropped them off. School officials had asked him to stop, but he was at it again just after 8 am.
When officers arrived at the school he said he was only recording his own child, who did not want to go to school because she was being bullied.
Officers said that they had previously advised him to contact the superintendent with the complaints, but he had not.
School personnel had spotted him several times sitting in his vehicle across from the school, making staff members uncomfortable.
They explained that if he did not stop making staff uncomfortable, he would have to make other transportation arrangements for his children as he would no longer be allowed at the school.
Police described the man as “very irate.”
The school requested officers return later in the afternoon for early dismissal to watch for the man, but police did not see him.
