A man called 911 after an incident with a loose dog on Vinton Avenue just before 5 pm. He told officers a dog had come into his yard and attacked him. The man said he threw a brick at the animal to defend himself, and now the dog’s owner was threatening him.
Officers went to speak with the owner, who said she was being very unreasonable. Two officers tried to explain that she needed to keep her dog contained, but she said she refused to listen.
Police advised the man to call them if the dog returned and that he should also call Animal Control.
