The Ohio Fire Marshal is investigating a fatal fire on Robinson Avenue. The call came in at 11:30 pm on Saturday evening. Officers, firefighters, and three ambulances responded to the scene.
Dispatch contacted Columbia Gas and AEP to turn off the utilities and notified the Ohio State Fire Marshal of the incident.
They also contacted the Red Cross to assist survivors of the fire. Around 4 am, officers called for the Scioto County Coroner’s Office to come to the scene.
Just after 8 pm, dispatch requested waterworks shut off water to the building and called for animal control to remove some dogs from the property.
According to reports, two people died in the fire, and three others were injured.
