A late-night crash on Grandview Avenue turned into a wild scene after witnesses reported a driver struck two parked cars around 10:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they said the woman behind the wheel refused a field sobriety test. Medics transported her to Southern Ohio Medical Center for treatment, where officers say she threatened to kill law enforcement, attempted to spit on an officer, and was disrespectful toward firefighters and hospital staff.
Once at the Scioto County Jail, a spit hood was applied to prevent her from targeting officers and corrections staff. Police arranged to have her vehicle towed and cited her for the crash.
The woman, identified as Krystle Osborne, was booked on charges of OVI and obstructing official business. She was also cited for failure to control.
Past Run-Ins With the Law
This isn’t Osborne’s first time in court. She was charged with child endangering in 2023, though those charges were later dismissed. In 2015, she was convicted of OVI and lost her license for seven months before regaining driving privileges after completing a driving awareness course.
