Homeless Trash Vacant House on Robinson Avenue
A Robinson Avenue property owner contacted PPD at 1 pm to report several people were inside a vacant home she owned and were destroying the place. She said she expected them to run out the door when the police arrived.
When officers arrived on the scene, they noted the glass on the front door had been busted out, but didn’t find anyone inside. Police advised her to re-secure the doors and windows and to call the police again if anyone comes back to the property.
Thirty minutes later, a Canter Drive caller reported there were people inside a vacant home she owned. Officers went through the house and said it was apparent that someone had been staying in the house, however, no one was there at the time.
At 2 pm, a caller reported several people living in the garage of a vacant home on 6th Street. Officers spoke to a man at the scene, and his friend said he could sleep in the garage and that the friend had permission from the owner. Officers were unable to contact the owner and advised the man to leave the property.
The following day, a High Street caller reported that she heard glass breaking in a house next door. She thought the house might be vacant.
