Maddison Olivia Leightenheimer, 22, of Greenville, SC, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 24, 2026, in Greenville. Olivia was born on July 10, 2003, in Portsmouth, the daughter of Harold Joseph Leightenheimer and Trish RoyAnne Burke-Leach, who survive.
Olivia was a 2021 Clay High School graduate, and she attended Portsmouth Baptist Church while living in the area. She worked as a Pharmacy Tech at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, and she recently received a promotion. She had made many friends since moving to Greenville two years ago, and she enjoyed shopping, going out to movies, attending church, and more with her girlfriends. Olivia enjoyed travel and reading, she loved animals, and she had many exciting outings with her dad to watch the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds, and The OSU Buckeyes play. She was also a hockey fan, but still a very girlie-girl who loved the color pink and dressing up. She lit up a room when she entered, and brought great joy to her family and friends.
Olivia leaves behind a multitude of family and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts, including her mother, Trisha RoyAnne (Jerry) Burke-Leach, and her father, Harold Joseph “Joe” (Lisa Montgomery) Leightenheimer, all of Portsmouth; brother, Christopher (Layna) Leightenheimer of Wheelersburg, sister, Amayalynn Burke of Portsmouth; paternal grandfather, Roy W. Burke of Franklin Furnace; bonus sisters, Kaity (Dennis) Richards of Rubyville, and Abby (Chris) Blair of Portsmouth; nieces and nephew, Leah and Ethan Leightenheimer, and Brynlee and Brianna Richards; several aunts, uncles, cousins and their families; Godson Weston Richards, son of Kaylee and Tanner Richards; and her beloved husky, Emmy Mae.
Olivia was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Marilyn Joanne Kallam; paternal grandparents, Harold and Betty Mae Leightenheimer; and bonus grandfather, Larry McDonald.
