Ohio police busted a truck driver with an astonishing 649 open warrants last week after a request for help from small town Pennsylvania officers. The Spring Township Police Department asked Columbus police to look out for Ahyoka Keith, who is also known as Carol Ann Summer. Ms. Keith is an over-the-road truck driver and law enforcement thought she might be in the Columbus area.
Police say she had 649 warrants for her arrest. (322 felonies and 327 misdemeanors). According to Columbus Police, all of those charges are related to theft. Pennsylvania police said she stole thousands of dollars from a relative. Charges against her include criminal use of a communication facility, identity theft, accessing a device issued to another with authorization, and theft by taking property.
Columbus Police detectives and patrol officers worked together in the search for Keith and they took her into custody last week without a problem.
The latest twist, the Pennsylvania courts are not working with the Franklin County Courts to arrange Ms. Keith’s extradition.
