Overdose Victim Revived on Blue Run County Road
Just after 11:30 am, Deputies responded to a home on Blue Run County Road after a woman said a neighbor ran to their house and said a relative was turning blue and might be dead.
Medics responded to the scene and revived the overdosed woman with Narcan. She refused further treatment.
Thieves Make Off With Property & Medication
Crooks hit a home on Lang Slocum Ridge Road and made off with multiple items, including the victim’s prescription medication.
Deputies took a report for the stolen items and said they would drop by with an additional theft of medication form for the victim to fill out and have signed by her doctor.
Deputies Track Down Shoplifters
Officers responded to a report of shoplifters at Gampp’s BP just after 9 pm. Witnesses said the pair fled in a vehicle and provided a license number.
Officers caught up with the alleged thieves on Bussey Road fifteen minutes later and read both parties their rights. The female half of the duo agreed to return to the store and pay for the items.
The store owner trespassed the pair but agreed not to press charges.
Falling Down Drunk at the Royal Inn
Just before 11 am, officers responded to the Royal Inn on Kendall Avenue for a report of a man who was so drunk that he could barely stand up. Police took the man into custody for drunk and disorderly conduct and booked him into the Scioto County Jail.
Just after 2 pm, two separate witnesses reported an apparently high man staggering around the 2000 block of 11th Street. Callers described him as wearing a red shirt. When police responded to the scene, they could not locate the man.
Beer Drinking Driver Crashes Into Neighbor’s Yard
A Shela Blvd. man contacted officers just before 11 pm to report that a neighbor had wrecked a van in his yard. He claimed the man was intoxicated and actually still holding a beer in his hand.
Police headed to the address provided and detained the driver. The homeowner decided they did not want to file a police report since it was close neighbor.
