A man on parole for serious charges, including abduction, landed back behind bars after complaints he was following his ex-girlfriend. A boy called the police at 9 pm to report his father, who was known to have drug and alcohol issues, was trying to get into the house. Officers took information for a report.
The man’s former girlfriend called back at 9 am to complain he was following her after an incident the night before and that he had a knife on him the previous evening.
Officers caught up with him at the corner of Bosner and Cherry just before noon.
They took Jeffrey Stamper into custody for domestic violence and a parole violation.
Stamper was released on parole back in 2022 on charges of abduction, two counts of violating a protection order, and a count of attempted felonious assault.
