Patty Jean Howard, 76, of Portsmouth passed away Monday, January 11, 2021, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born on September 1, 1944, in Portsmouth to the late Amon and Marie (Sparks) Howard. Patty attended the Lucasville Church of God. She loved doing crafts, shopping, and taking care of her grandchildren.
Patty is survived by four daughters, Polly Price and Husband David of Portsmouth, Carrie Young and husband James of Portsmouth, Patty A. Howard and Timothy Clark of Portsmouth, Julie Kleinman and Gary Whitt of Sciotoville; one brother, Roby Hawkins and Cherrie Middleton of Portsmouth; one sister, Mary Blevins of Portsmouth; fifteen grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Geroge Howard, a daughter, Connie Walters; two granddaughters, Kelly Haddox and Brooklyn Kleinman; and a sister, Bonnie Millstead.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2021, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Ron Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth.
