Suspicious Activity
- Just after midnight, a caller reported suspicious individuals messing around behind the Rainbow Bowling Lanes on Kendall Avenue. Police reported no one on the scene when they arrived.
- At 2:54 am, police responded to a report of a man attempting to break into vehicles on 28th Street. The caller ran him off and saw the suspect cut between houses to escape. He was gone when police arrived.
- Officers responded to a report of a man yelling in Mound Park just after 6 am. Police said the man refused medical treatment. They advised him to pack up his belongings and move on.
False Alarm
- Police answered an alarm at a 10th Street Business just after 3 am. Everything checked out all right.
- A general alarm sounded at Wendy’s on the Scioto Trail at 5 am. Police said everything appeared secure and there was no damage observed.
- Officers received a report of a general alarm at Sciotoville Community School at 6:30 am. It turned out to be a false alarm.
- Police responded to Thomas Avenue just after 9 pm for a report of a woman making threats outside an apartment. Police stood by as she got her things together and left.
- Just before 10 pm, police received an alarm from China City. Four minutes later, they discovered it was a false alarm.
Under the Influence
- Officers responded to a report of two men overdosing on the porch of a 17th Street home at 8:25 am. When police checked it out they discovered that the two were just drunk on their porch.
- Half an hour later, a caller reported an apparently high man at 17th Street and Thomas. Police said he did appear to be under the influence but he did not want medical attention. He said he was headed to a friend’s home.
- Officers responded to a report of a man not breathing at the Royal Inn. He refused treatment. There was also a woman in the room who had breathing difficulties. She agreed to go to the hospital.
- At 10:51, a caller reported a man stumbling around on Kendall Avenue scaring her cats. He was gone when police arrived.
- A caller reported an apparently high woman at the Speedway on Gallia at 5:47 pm. She had left by the time police arrived.
Worried Mom
A woman called police just before noon to report her 15-year-old son has run away. Police took information for a report.
Spitting Mad
A Speedway employee called police at 12:10 pm to report a disgusting incident at the store. A regular customer came into the store to make a purchase. When she returned to her vehicle a man and woman followed her out of the store.
The two verbally harassed her while she got into the car. The strange woman spit on her car and then licked her hand rubbed it on the hood of the vehicle.
Speedway plans to trespass the two if they come back to the store.
Rocks in the Road
Two vehicles lost tires just before 4 pm, thanks to falling rocks on US 52. Officers said the rocks cause tires on two separate vehicles to blow out. Ohio State Troopers checked on the disabled vehicles and police stood by while drivers changed their tires.
The road was clear in half an hour
Cussing On The Steps
Police responded to a report of a woman cussing and threatening people on the steps of the Hudson House at 5:50 pm.
The woman told officers she hadn’t slept in days because people would not allow her to take her meds. The officer walked her back to the apartment to take her meds and get a nap in. Additionally, the officer promised to watch her apartment so no one would bother her. She calmed down.
Not Allowed Here
Police answered a domestic all on Kendall Avenue. The caller reported he could hear a man hitting a woman. The couple said the argument was only verbal. However, the man is barred from PMHA property. Police issued a citation for trespassing.
