Two incompatible roommates brought officers into the mix when they got into an argument over using the kitchen.
Just before 1 pm, a man called the police to say his female roommate had prevented him from making coffee in the kitchen.
Officers spoke to both parties. The female roommate said the man would not allow her to move freely in the kitchen while she cleaned, and he complained she kept moving his property and would not allow him to make coffee.
An officer explained police could not prevent her from touching his stuff in common areas of the home and told the woman the man could make coffee anywhere he pleased. Police advised the two that since they weren’t getting along, it would be a good idea for someone to move.
Officers explained to the woman she could not force the man to leave without starting eviction proceedings.
About an hour later, police were called back to the home and once again told the parties they should take their issues to court.
