Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a West Side home after a concerned aunt called them just before 10 am.

She said her nephew reported he’d been in a fight with his father, who was also fighting with his mother. When officers arrived on the scene, the family members said the father was drunk and acting a fool. The intoxicated man refused to open the door to speak with officers.
The adult son decided to leave and wait for a ride at a nearby store. The mom said the situation was normal to her since her husband was well-known as the “town drunk.” She said she wasn’t afraid of him and would wait it out at a relative’s house.
