Truman “Fiz” Farris, 87, of Quincy, KY., passed away Monday, November 20, 2023, at Kings Daughter Medical Center in Ashland, KY. He was born in Siloam, KY., on April 22, 1936, a son of the late William and Mary Lewis Farris.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Ann Carver Farris; one sister, Dory Cooper; three brothers, Bill, Eugene, and Prunny.
Left behind to cherish his memory are one son, Steven Farris of Quincy, KY; one granddaughter, Heather (Jon) Star of Danville, KY; and three great-grandchildren, Jane, Jon, and Joe. Along with several other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with David Robirds officiating. Burial will follow at Davis-Carver Cemetery in Quincy, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, November 24, 2023, from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. and from 12 P.M. until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
