Man Admits to Being Jackass After Traffic Stop
A driver offered a lame excuse for running a stop sign near Shawnee State University on Monday night.
Just after 6 pm, an officer spotted the driver breaking one of the most basic driving rules and pulled him over.
The driver told the officer that he worked at SSU and that it was the culture of SSU not to stop at the stop sign. The officer thought the man might be joking but did not find it funny.
The man then admitted to the officer that he was a jackass. The officer issued a warning for the violation.
Dumpster Diver Frightens Findlay Street Woman
Just before 1 am, a Findlay Street resident reported that a man had attempted to open her door. When officers checked the area, they discovered a man digging through a dumpster. Police advised him to clean up his mess and leave the area.
A few minutes later, a caller reported someone sleeping outside of a church at 8th and Gay Street. Police spoke to the woman and sent her on her way.
