Road Trip Tips
Here are a few tips to get the most fun out of a spontaneous weekend adventure.
Packs Snacks
Most important by far
get super hungry for someone that’s not doing anything
stopping to get food can get expensive and unhealthy
sliced fruit, nuts, granola bars, bottled water
Car Games
Essential for getting through a long car ride
The Guessing Game/20 questions, celebrity name game
Make the most of your stops
Makes the trip not seem as long
Scavenger hunt at a gas station or hide and seek at a rest stop
Getting up and moving around will make your body less sore and tire out the kids for the car ride
Plan for the worst
Carsick meds, first aid kit
Traveling in the winter? Electric blanket and hand warmers
Don’t be afraid to be a little spontaneous
Personal favorite part of road trips
Weird antique shops and firework stores can be a lot of fun, just go with it
Hope this helps. Winters in Ohio can be a bit bleak, so finding ways to break out of that rut is essential. That’s all, for now, Scioto County Daily News. See you soon!
