Randy Benner, 54, of Waverly, died in a crash on US 23 after law enforcement says a semi made an improper lane change and forced Benner’s Ford Escape off the road.
Troopers responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash near milepost 14 just before 7 pm. Medics rushed Benner to Adena Regional Medical Center, but he died from his injuries.

Troopers said Bikramjit Singh, age 27, of Stockton, California, made an improper lane change that caused the crash. The crash is still under investigation.
Friends remember Mr. Benner online as “one of the nicest people you’d ever meet” and offered prayers for his family.
