Mary (Terry Wilburn) Smith, 89, of South Portsmouth KY., passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Ashland, KY., on April 21, 1935, a daughter of the late William “Buck” Terry, and Rosa Williams Terry.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, William Terry and Miles Thomas Terry, and six sisters, Charlene Terry, Alice Terry, Cara Marcum Miller, Dorothe Miller, Kennetha Ruggles, and Sharon Crisp.
Left behind are three daughters, Connie Browning of Paducah, KY., Cheryl Stapleton of South Portsmouth, KY., and Teresa (Walter) Swint of Greenup, KY.; one son, Jeffery (Debbie) Wilburn of South Portsmouth, KY.; eight grandchildren, Jaclyn, Jessica, Samuel, Matthew, Brian, Beth, Christa and Brad, and ten great-grandchildren, along with several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Mary was a proud member of the Rush Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #546, and a Kentucky Colonel. At Mary’s request, there will be a private interment at a later date. Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., are caring for arrangements.
