Delores Ann Isaac, 76, of South Portsmouth, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at her home surrounded by family and received her healing in heaven. She was a Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and amazing woman. Delores was reunited with her true love, Roger Isaac Sr., who preceded her in death ten months ago. They were married on November 7, 1969 in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Delores was born in Wilmington, Ohio on September 3, 1948 to the late Hubert Wayne and Opal Ellen (Chandler) Carpenter. She is survived by her five children, sons, Roger (Tonya) Isaac, Jr. and Timothy (Aleksandra) Isaac both of Ohio; daughters, Lisa (Vicente “Jr”) Orona also of Ohio; Amy (Luther “Luke”) Berry of Florida and Penny Brown of Illinois; bonus youngins, Kevin Rowe and Becky Crader; grandchildren, Christie (Michael) Rice, Dewaine (Kelsey) Norman, Colton Isaac, Timothy (Joshie) Isaac, Nicholas and Benjamin Orona, Hunter (Joel) Coppola, Christian, Ethan, Logan and Graci Berry, Hayden and Payton Brown; great granddaughter, Sophia Norman and great grandson, Ezra Coppola; brothers, Keith (Diann) and Alan (Donna) Carpenter; sisters, Linda (Noel) Thomas and Barbara Carpenter, aunts, Donna Jarrett and Bunny (Mike) Acord, brother-in-law, Thomas Raymond; sisters-in-law, Mary (John) Thomas and Lois Isaac; honorary sister, Julia Balducki and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Delores was preceded in death by her precious grandson, Evgeni Genov; brother, Terry Wayne Carpenter, KIA Vietnam, and sisters, Sandra Carpenter and Pamela Raymond.
Delores had a great sense of humor, when she would laugh you couldn’t help but laugh with her. She loved her family and kept them close to her and each other. She was the one that re-started family reunions. Delores was a Jill of all trades. Her intelligence and work ethic taught her many things, from carpentry to bookkeeping and lots in between, there wasn’t much she couldn’t do.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Scioto Cemetery in Lucasville, Ohio with Pastor Tom Brown officiating. Family will gather following the graveside at 11:30 a.m.at Beech Fork Church, State Route 348, in Otway, Ohio.
