A local woman is facing a mountain of charges after allegedly swindling her own elderly, disabled grandmother out of more than $17,000 in cash and property!
The Scioto County Grand Jury has indicted Destiny Blanton, 35, on a staggering 26 counts, including:
Theft From a Protected Class (5 counts)
Forgery (10 counts)
Misuse of Credit Cards (9 counts)
Theft (2 counts)
Blanton’s alleged crime spree reads like a family betrayal horror story. According to the indictment, she stole a game station, a gold ring, a karaoke machine, a flat-screen TV, and a Roku box from her grandmother. But she didn’t stop there—she allegedly swiped grandma’s checkbook, forged checks in her name multiple times, and racked up charges on her credit card without permission!
The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for Blanton, and her day in court is fast approaching. She’s set to be arraigned on March 28 at 9 a.m. in Scioto County Common Pleas Court.
