Timothy Dixon “Tim” Murphy, 74, of Waverly passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Hopewell Grove Health Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born May 13, 1950 in Chillicothe to the late Weldon Leo and Marilyn Joan Swinning Murphy. In March of 1971 he married Linda Brownfield Murphy who survives. Also surviving are his children, Jodi Murphy (Steve) Bates of Piketon and Shaun (Rachel) Murphy of Piketon; grandchildren, Alec, Brystol, Kinzer and Xander; a great-granddaughter, Nova; brother, Kelly Murphy of Waverly; a niece, Andria Fitch of New Boston; and special friends, Gene and Carolyn Remy.
Tim was a 1969 graduate of Waverly High School and was retired from USEC.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
