Kathleen “Doll” Vernier, 97 of West Portsmouth, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, may 21, 2025 at SOMC Hospice. She was born January 3, 1928 in West Portsmouth to the late Frances Pauline Vernier and later in her teen years raised by William L. Cooper.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings Paul vernier, Priscilla Wyrick, Leo Cooper, Jackie Cooper and Laura Brown.
Kathleen is survived by a sister, Judy Cooper and her best friend Jackie Servidea, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kathleen graduated from Washington High School in West Portsmouth in 1946. She attended Portsmouth Interstate Business College. Worked at Selby Shoe Factory for eleven years and retired from SOMC Dietary Department after 34 years of service. She attended Our lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in West Portsmouth her entire life.
Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Pond Creek with Father Stephen Smith officiating. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Pond Creek. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
