It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Estell Corbett Jarrells (Corb), beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and devoted husband, who left us on March 15, 2026 at the age of 91.
Born on March 14, 1935, Corb lived a life marked by love, guidance, and dedication to his family. He was a strong presence to all who knew him, offering wisdom and support throughout his many years.
Corb was a devoted husband of 56 years to Judy Ann Taylor Jarrells, until Judy’s passing on June 5, 2016. When Corb returned to Portsmouth Baptist Church, it was then that he was reacquainted with Cheryl Adkins and the two were married May 5, 2018. As a devoted husband in his last few years, Corb & Cheryl lived life filled with adventure, understanding, and mutual respect.
Outside of family, Corb was known for his military service as a Marine Drill Instructor at Parris Island 1954-1958. Corb worked for Dayton Walther Corp as an industrial electrician for 20+ years. After retirement, Corb & Judy owned and operated C&J Restaurant in Wheelersburg, OH for 10+ years.
Corb is survived by his wife, Cheryl Adkins Jarrells; his children, Jeffrey (Kathy) Jarrells of Lucasville, OH, Stephen (Rebecca) Jarrells of Jackson, OH, and Melanie (Keith) Caudill, of Hillsboro, OH; nine grandchildren, Kassie (Nick) Kemper, Katie (JJ) Hettinger, Karrie Jarrells, Ryan Jarrells, Stephanie Jarrells, Chelsea Jarrells, Dustin Caudill, Nicholas Caudill, and Alexandria (Robert) Tackett; and six great-grandchildren.
