A Facebook page dedicated to sharing pictures of “Cute Boys” remains active despite many reports.

The page was just created on July 5th, 2020, and has over 2,000 followers. Some of the photos are being shared over 100 times. As we have reported here on SCDN, the real criminal activity happens in the messages. People can message the page, and the page can message people. You can also exchange money through FB or other means.

The page has a rating of 1 of 5 on Facebook with people reporting it to Facebook and tagging the FBI in their comments. Some of the photos have over 700 comments of protest and tags to different law enforcement. Yet, the page remains active.

In addition to the reports and reviews, many have tagged other law enforcement in the comments.

Brianna Dawn
Don’t report it on FB. They’ll take it down and all the evidence will go with it- also alerting the creator and the participants.
To report an incident or suspicious situation that may involve the child sex trafficking, call the National Human Trafficking Resource Center (NHTRC) at 1-888-3737-888, or file a confidential online report at https://humantraffickinghotline.org/report-trafficking.
To report an incident involving the sexual exploitation of children, file a report on the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)’s website at www.cybertipline.com, or call 1-800-843-5678.
– – You may also wish to report the incident to federal, state, or local law enforcement personnel.

Local Officials On The Offensive

Many in local law enforcement have made child exploitation the highest priority. New Boston Police have a Cybercrime Task Force. The Scioto County Prosecutor is working on a type of Special Victims Unit. As we have done for years, you can always submit an anonymous tip to us and we will forward the information to the appropriate law enforcement agency. You can find that on our Contact Us page or simply CLICK HERE.

We have not given the name of this page because we don’t want to propagate their content. However, this page has generated lots of local outrage. SCDN continues to inform the public of these potential traps for child exploitation. In our reporting, people have tried to circumvent laws by posting mundane pictures and then selling a password to their dropbox account. See that repulsive story here.

If you know of other groups like this, please contact local law enforcement or send us the information and we certainly will.

Update

With the exposure to this issue, the page we were targeting has been shut down. However, now we are drawing awareness to these pages. With your help, they will come down as well. #Protectchildren. Facebook has censored the hashtag #savethechildren, stating “the #SavetheChildren hashtag is associated with the QAnon conspiracy theory.”

This is “Beautiful Boys” and has been operational since 2013! This can’t continue. Here are 5 examples of this despicable page.
