We’ve told you multiple times about the issues caused by the homeless camps in the Gallia Street Area. You may remember that Speedway’s corporate security even contacted the Portsmouth Police Department to see if there was anything they could do to get the problem under control.
Just after 7:30 pm on Sunday, a witness reported people fighting at the homeless camp located behind the Big Lots.
When officers arrived on the scene, a woman told them she allowed a homeless man and woman inside her house, and they stole her phone.
However, she could not remember the make or model of the phone. She was able to give the officer a description of the individuals she said took the phone.
Offices said they would look for the pair and try to locate the phone.
