A bizarre morning disturbance at Hudson House Apartments took a deadly turn just hours later, leaving police stunned.
MANIC EPISODE AT HUDSON HOUSE
Around 11 a.m., police were called to the third floor of the apartment complex after reports of a visitor behaving erratically. Witnesses described the man as being in a manic state, and when officers arrived, they called in mental health experts to assess him.
However, despite hallucinations and erratic behavior, counselors couldn’t force him into treatment, and the man refused all help. Police gave him a warning to stay away from the building but noted that he grew increasingly angry during their conversation.

Then, just an hour later, chaos erupted at Gallia Street and Winchester Avenue when a vehicle slammed into a wall, trapping the driver unconscious inside.
Emergency crews, including the Ohio State Patrol, Portsmouth Police, and EMS, rushed to the scene, but it was too late. Medics pronounced the driver dead—and in a shocking twist, officers recognized him as the same man from Hudson House earlier that morning!
The deceased driver of the vehicle has been identified as Joshua Lambert, 28-year-old male from Portsmouth.
