Vandals hit multiple places around the county leaving a mess in their wake.
Just before 8 am, the owner of Knittel Service Center on Lincoln Street reported that someone broke into vehicles at the business and also busted out a window with a brick. Officers took information for a report.
At 3:30 pm, officers were called to an old auto parts store on Gallia Pike for a report someone painted a face on the back wall of a building. The artist appeared to have used a stencil to do the work.
The reporting party said he planned to paint over it, but he did want a record of the incident.
