Officers arrested a 35-year-old Portsmouth woman after they say her abuse of a disabled person was caught on video.
Officers and EMS responded to Wheelersburg on Tuesday for a report of an injured non-verbal disabled individual.
An ambulance transported the patient to the hospital and the Special Victims Unit launched an investigation.
Officers spoke to family members and reviewed video from inside the home of the alleged abuse.
Officers headed to Portsmouth and arrested caregiver 35-year-old Jamey Addington on charges of felonious assault, patient abuse, and failing to provide care for a disabled person.
She’s currently in the Scioto County Jail on a $60,000 bond and is due in court on July 20.
Sheriff Thoroughman stated that this is still an ongoing investigation that could result in more charges being presented to the Scioto County Grand Jury at a later date
