A man charged last week with punching a pregnant woman in the stomach and face was arrested again just before midnight, this time on a rape charge.
If you’ll recall, last week, officers responded to a report of a horrible incident of alleged domestic violence involving a young woman who was 8 months pregnant.
Just before 1 a.m., a worried mom called police to report her daughter’s boyfriend had hit the young woman, who was 8 months pregnant, in the face and punched her in the stomach. The caller said the man was still in the home.
An ambulance stood by while officers headed to the scene. Police took Nathenial Slone into custody for assault, and an ambulance transported the pregnant victim to the hospital.
Officers have picked him up again on an open warrant for a rape indictment. Police booked him into the Scioto County Jail.
