Zola O. Coffee, 93, of Wooster, OH., went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 7, 2025, at LifeCare Hospice, in Wooster.
Zola was born February 22, 1931, in South Portsmouth, KY to Jesse Vernon Spence and Catherine {Byers} Spence.
She attended South Portsmouth Schools where she enjoyed cheerleading.
Zola married Lewis Coffee in 1952. He died in 1995.
Zola loved spending time with family and friends. She particularly loved the children. She enjoyed playing cards and dominoes. Even with “strangers” in her hand, she still managed to win most games.
Zola will be deeply missed by her children, Raymond (Claire) Tackett, James (Pamela) Coffee, and Daniel (Paula Pflugh) Coffee, grandchildren Kimberly (Robert) Dowd, Lisa (Toby) Polychrones, and Bryan (Ryan Matuszak) Tackett, Jennifer (Stephanie) Brown, Joshua (Mindy) Coffee, and Brenda (Ryan) Webster, and great-grandchildren Genevieve, Olivia, Caroline, Lexi, Kaylee, Payton, Eden, Maeson, and Kendall; and multiple great-great grandchildren, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Zola was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, and brothers.
Friends and family may call Friday, January 10th from 10am to 11am at Roberson Funeral Home, South Shore, KY. Funeral services will directly proceed with Pastor Joshua Coffee officiating. Burial will be at Mt Zion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stan Spence Little League in South Shore, KY.
