Officers responded to Kroger on Gay Street at 5:30 pm after witnesses said a man dressed in a Boston Celtics sweatshirt was acting aggressively toward customers and employees and harassing people for money. Officers escorted him off the property.
About an hour later, employees said the man had returned and was aggressively asking customers for alcohol and money and was specifically targeting women.
He left before the officers arrived. The store wanted the man barred. Police tracked him down and served a trespass letter.
Thirty minutes later, the 8th Street Homeless Shelter called 911 to report the same pan was in their parking lot. They said he was intoxicated, yelling, and aggressively bothering people.
By the time officers arrived, he’d left the scene.
