Scioto County deputies were called to Wheelersburg Friday night after a woman reported a man who appeared to be on drugs was destroying a vehicle and making threats.
The woman told dispatchers she wanted him removed. She was at Wheelersburg High School in a black Cadillac while deputies headed to a nearby residence to find the man.
The homeowner gave deputies permission to enter the house.
After speaking with the man, deputies took him into custody and read him his Miranda rights.
But the trip didn’t end there.
While officers were out with the man near Carpet Plus in New Boston, the situation suddenly turned into a medical call when he complained of chest pains.
Medics were called to check him out and eventually cleared him.
The sheriff’s log does not specify what damage was allegedly done to the vehicle, what sparked the confrontation, or what charges, if any, were filed following the incident.
