Man Says Neighbor Tried to Mow Him Down at Big Lots
A Thomas Avenue man contacted officers at 3:35 pm to report that his neighbor attempted to run him over with a truck.
The man claimed the incident happened in the alley behind Big Lots. He said his neighbor attempted to run him and his brother over with a bray truck earlier in the day.
Officers took information for a report.
Tweaker Strips Down at the Fast Stop
Folks on drugs kept Portsmouth Police Officers busy.
Around 9:30 am, Residents in the area of Dexter and Campbell Avenue contacted police when they spotted a man “tweaking” and punching the air at Campbell and Dexter Avenues.
Witnesses also complained he was betting into other people’s belongings. Officers caught up with him near the Riverside Café.
Officers discovered the man was on probation, and the probation office wanted him held and taken to jail. Police booked him into the Scioto County Jail for a probation violation.
Later that afternoon, officers responded to the Fast Stop Market for a report that a woman was “tweaking bad” and taking off her clothes.
Multiple units responded to the scene and took a 37-year-old woman into custody for disorderly conduct and possession of drugs.
Man In Underwear Flips Out on 11th Street
Police responded to a report of an out-of-control man in the 1800 block of 11th Street just after 5 pm. Witnesses said a man clad only in underwear was outside yelling and screaming.
Additionally, he was spotted pounding on the wall of a vacant house.
