Roger Dean Bernthold, 57, of South Webster passed away Friday, January 15, 2021, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born February 6, 1963, in Portsmouth, a son of Patricia (Woodall) Bernthold of South Webster and the late Roger Lee Bernthold. He was a former painter with the Kenworth Corp. and a 1981 graduate of South Webster High School. He loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, going fishing, was a Big Jokester, and loved his children dearly. He had a very kind heart and would help anyone in need.
Besides his mother, Roger is survived by a son, Jarett Dean Bernthold of South Webster; a daughter, Meagan Bernthold of Columbus; two sisters, Lisa Cayton and husband Steve of Roebuck, SC, Christie Floyd and husband Tom of Wheelersburg and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Pastors Ed Litteral and Kyle Cayton officiating. Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 5 to 7 PM and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
