The manager of an 11th Street apartment building made a tragic discovery just after noon. The manager said the caregiver of the resident was unable to contact an apartment resident. As a result, the manager went to check it out. He noticed a smell in the hallway around the apartment and decided to go inside. That’s when he discovered the body of the resident.
Fire Department medics and PPD officers responded to the scene and contacted the Coroner’s Office.
The Coroner did not feel there was any need for a police investigation and released the body to the family. Officers spoke to the Next of kin, who arranged for a funeral home to take care of the deceased.
Video Game Turns To Real Life Threats
The action in a video game spilled over into real-life threats of violence.
A mom contacted the police just before 11 pm to say she and her kids were playing an online video game when something disturbing happened.
Another person playing the game told the kids to kill themselves and also claimed to know where the children lived.
A deputy spoke with the kids and advised them to stay offline for the rest of the evening.
