Bernadine Gifford, 75, of Sciotoville, went to walk with Jesus on Friday morning, April 28, 2023, from her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 26, 1947, on Fifth Street in Portsmouth, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Aroma Osborne Traylor.
Bernie was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Traylor.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Pastor Paul Michael Gifford I; a son, Paul Michael Gifford II of Franklin Furnace; two daughters, Aroma Luann Gifford of Franklin Furnace and Amy Leah (Kevin) Gifford Miller of Wheelersburg; a brother, Donald Traylor of Newark; and six grandchildren, Courtney Hammond, Hailey Hammond, Andrew Gifford, Brayden Gifford, Kevin Dean Miller and Daniel Lee Miller.
A Celebration of Bernadine’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6th, at New Life Worship Center in North Moreland. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
