Just before 5 pm, a teen called 9-1-1 to claim her brother put his hands on her because he thought she stole money and marijuana. She then said she was running away.
The girl’s mom got on the phone and said the child stole $2,000 from her and bought pot with it. She said the girl had just taken off walking down the road. The mom said she’d asked for the girl’s phone, and she got aggressive. The brother tried to take the phone, and things got heated between the two. Family members said the girl also threatened to call police and make false charges against her.
Officers caught up with the girl just down the road and took her back to her home. The child’s mom said she would file unruly charges with the court.
