Officers and EMS responded to Edgewood Drive after a report that a man had overdosed.
The man was unresponsive but breathing, and an ambulance transported him to SOMC for treatment. Police learned the man had an open warrant for probation violation.
However, the probation department said not to worry about the warrant, but that the man must check in with his PO on Monday morning.
Later, officers responded to Vinton Avenue after a woman overdosed. People on the scene were able to revive her with Narcan. The QRT responded to offer assistance.
Callers reported a man had overdosed in a Black SUV parked in front of the Holiday Inn. When officers arrived on the scene, they determined the man was under the influence. The QRT took the man for treatment, and police had the vehicle towed.
Overdose in Wayne Hills
Callers alerted 9-1-1 to an overdose at Wayne and Thomas Avenue at 11:30 am. Officers and EMS responded to the scene immediately.
By the time police arrived, the man was alert and talking. The victim refused medical treatment from the fire department, though he did speak to members of the quick response team.
Officers left him in the care of his mother.
