A pair of thieves are targeting Lowe’s stores in Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia with a lumber scam.
Employees at the South Point Lowes told deputies that two men came into the store. One left without purchasing anything, then the other purchased some lumber and left the store.
The first man came back and stole the identical three pieces of lumber that his partner had purchased. The two are known around the area for one of them returning the stolen pieces of lumber using the receipt for the first purchase and had already hit multiple stores in the area.
Deputies viewed the store security video and took information for a report.
