A woman contacted deputies after her daughter came home from a parental visit and made some shocking allegations.
The child said her father had hit her, and another relative had sexually abused her. The mom contacted Lawrence County CPS and took the child to a hospital.
Social workers determined it was not safe for the child to visit their father and advised the mother to file a police report. Deputies notified detectives to begin an investigation.
