How many times do you have to get arrested while you’re on parole before the state decides to put you back in prison? The answer doesn’t seem to be 10 since convicted drug trafficker Maxwell McGuire was arrested for the 11th time since he was released over the weekend after a report of a suspicious person at the Royal Inn. This time, officers charged him with theft.
Back in December, he was busted for parole violation in Wayne Hills.
McGuire can’t seem to stay away from public housing. In August of 2022, police took him into custody after PMHA security asked PPD to meet them at 10 a.m. to check an apartment. Officers found Maxwell McGuire inside and took him into custody for criminal trespass and probation violation.
You’ll recall that McGuire was arrested twice in the same week back in May of 2022. The convicted drug trafficker was picked up after an officer responded to a report of multiple people fighting with knives and guns in an empty apartment in Farley Square. Officers took Maxwell McGuire into custody. McGuire is currently on parole after serving time for drug trafficking and felonious assault. McGuire was released from jail almost immediately but arrested just a few days later for criminal trespass in the same apartment.
After his release from jail in October 2021, he was also busted on probation or parole violations three times and also charged four times for criminal trespass.
In 2016, he was sent to prison on drug trafficking and assault charges. Other previous charges include 2015 charges of heroin trafficking and parole violation, 2014 charges of probation violation, and 2009 charges of aggravated burglary and robbery.
He served 68 days after officers arrested him for parole violation in April, but was arrested again in September.
Right now, he’s sitting in the Scioto County Jail for the 20th time, waiting for his next court appearance.
